The current wars in the world that reappear every few years are
nothing but the fruit of greed and spitefulness; they arise only out of nasty characters;
they are nothing but fights of the same quality as those existing among tigers
and wolves. What do these masses fight for? Why don't they settle their
disputes through judgment if they have any issues about their borders or any
other issues?
Why don't they follow
wisdom? What is the difference between individuals and masses? Why are
individuals supposed to settle their disputes by way of judgment while masses use
force and resort to guns and rifles?
As a matter of fact since each great
European government which has become powerful as a result of developing
modern armaments, has aspired to world leadership and wanted to be the only
great state to subjugate backward eastern countries and dominate small European
ones. Since there are some states who share this desire, struggles arise
between them which result in wars.
On the other hand, in each of these countries there are certain
groups that benefit from wars: one such group is manufacturers who benefit a great
deal from arms sales and other necessary supplies; another is politicians who
gain fame in such struggles; and one group is the commanders who find battles a
ground for ostentation and boasting. This is why wars arise one after the other
and each time produce a lot of damage to the world.
Either way, there is no need for wars, or is
any benefit gained from them. They are absolutely detrimental. They are the fruits
of the nature of beasts.
Isn't it savagery to shed the blood of
millions of youths from either side in every war, leaving their mothers
afflicted? Isn't it villainy to shed bombs over cities to annihilate innocent
women and children in the worst way imaginable?.. For which great ideal do they
cause such damages? What outcome do they expect from such villainies?
These people who lead the world by greed
and bloodshed can't be esteemed. By their behavior, these people have devalued the world of humanity. They have
humiliated human beings a great deal.
They consider themselves rulers of the world
and pretend that the world cannot be run in any other way. We know that if they
were to hear these words of ours, they would say, "These are unrealistic
hopes; they won't proceed. Humans have been like this from the beginning."
Or they would say, "People won't ever listen, no matter how you tell them.
Life is fighting".
They'll use these excuses because they don't want to give up their
greed and whims. They are persons who have prepared philosophies for their
savagery. They don't want to consider the world's comfort and welfare, nor do
they follow wisdom. Neither do they want to acquire God's satisfaction. They
want the world suffer by their capriciousness, to constantly cover the world
with fire and blood, to cast off millions of youths like unripe blooms.
They are the ones who sign treaties in order to be able to break
them whenever they desire, the ones who, shamelessly, lie and mislead, the ones
who are not prevented by God's name, from oppressing the weak masses. However,
as soon as they experience some violence and pressure from a stronger mass, they
shamelessly start crying about 'being oppressed'.
They take our opinions as crude ideas and laugh, but they aren't
aware that the crudeness of their opinions has already become known to all
people. They aren't aware that the world keeps on sneering at their efforts.
They say, "These things won't proceed."
I say, "Why won't they? What is the reason? If every one of you does your
part to leave capriciousness, then these things will certainly proceed."
They say, "Human beings have been like this from the beginning
and will remain so." I say, "Things that didn't exist in the past
need not remain non-existent either. There have been many things that never
existed before, but then began to exist and to develop. Many things have never
existed, but must exist from now on. There have been times when there was no judgment
in the world. If somebody had been oppressed or experienced violence from
someone else, they had to resort to violence and ask for justice themselves.
However, as time passed, some people, in accordance with wisdom, set up courts
and judgment and if today anybody tries to achieve justice by himself and to resort
to violence, people would call him savage and ignorant."
They say, "Life is a battle." I
say, "What a well-seeming excuse you have clutched at. But beware it is a
baseless saying. We have known its baselessness very well. Yes, it is possible
to bring life to an end by fighting all the time, but that would be an animal
life. It would be what exists today: cities get ruined and millions of men
become sacrificed for the greed and desire of a few people. If you mean that
life can't be without fighting, you are far off and we have given answers to
this supposition several times."
Battles must be fought only against evils.
They must be fought against tyrannies and presumptuousness.
People should give a hand to each other to
unite their forces and to fight against evils, their common enemy, instead of
fighting against each other in vain. They must endeavor to cause the world get rid
of all sorts of evil – either vermin and harmful animals, or illnesses and
deceit. This has to be their aim and they should endeavor in this regard and
proceed as much as they can.
All people ought to sit in their own homeland
and make efforts for the goodness of the world, rather than utilizing armaments
to shed blood and invade countries. If they see people who intend to oppress
others or disrespect others by committing aggression, they should give a hand
to each other to drive the aggressors back into their place, and to use
armaments if need be.
